CMI’s Individual Outplacement
CMI began working in the outplacement arena in 1976 by assisting corporations to separate one, or a few, executives who, for whatever reason, had ceased to be productive. Outplacement was a fairly new resource in the 1970’s and our programs were designed to assist each separating individual to leave with dignity, to learn what they had to offer the marketplace and to secure a new position that would bring success to them and to the new organization that they joined.
Expansion of innovative methods of providing client services have enhanced CMI’s basic premise:
- Determine what each person at each level needs to prosper
- Provide the necessary resources
- Guide and counsel while closely monitoring completion of each step in the process
- Provide the necessary support that leads to success
CMI’s Group Outplacement
Planning for group outplacement should be approached differently from individual outplacement, but often this is not the case. While this type of event involves more people who will be leaving the organization within a scheduled time period, each person’s treatment during and after the notification is of paramount importance.
CMI recognizes that group outplacement requires attention to detail, careful planning and execution so that those separating receive consistent messages and exit calmly, understanding that they will receive the career/life transition assistance that they need.
CMI has contributed to the success of numerous large group outplacements in multiple industries without any unplanned, or potentially disastrous, consequences.
